Eisenhower High School (Houston)

eISENHOWER HIGH SCHOOL, in Houston, Texas is a Class 5A School located in Northwest Houston on the corner of Antoine Drive and Gulf Bank Road. It serves the communties of Inwood Forest, Acres Homes, Inwood Pines, Garden City, Lincoln Green, Northwest Park, Woodgate, Woodland Trails, Heather Glen, Willow Run, Arbor Oaks and several other communities. Named after President Dwight D. Eisenhower and opened in 1972, "Big Ike" is part of the Aldine Independent School District in northwest Houston. It is a comprehensive, 3-year high school working with the Eisenhower 9th Grade School to serve a culturally and economically diverse student population of over 3000 students.

Eisenhower has one of the most successful athletic programs in Houston, particularly in Football and Track. In 2005, Eisenhower won it's first ever State Championship in Track & Field. Here are some of Ike's football and track accomplishments.

The 2006 Eagles also set School Records and ran the 3rd fastest 4x1 of all-time in 39.9 (40.04 Fully automatic), and 1:24.1 in the 4x200.
