Eirias High School

Eirias High School is situated in Colwyn Bay, North Wales. The school has around 1500 pupils and over 90 teachers and staff. The school’s name is derived from its location, the grounds of Eirias Park. Its modern facilities include up-to-date science laboratories, modern computing facilities, and a high-speed school internet network over a T3 line, The current headmaster is Phil McTague, who took over from Clive Hampton in 2006, and very strictly enforces the school's dress code of a maroon jumper emblazoned with the Eirias crest on it, black trousers/skirt, a white shirt and a tie with black, maroon and silver stripes.

The school has been recognized by several externally validated national awards, including the WSSA School Award, Most Improved School, European Curriculum Award, Recognition of Quality Award, School Curriculum Award, Award of Community Service Excellence and the prestigious awards and subsequent re-awards of Charter Mark and Investors in People status.
