Eimac

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Eimac was an American manufacturing company, and is now a division of Communications & Power Industries. Eimac makes vacuum tubes for radio frequency applications such as broadcast and radar transmitters. The company was founded in 1934 as Eitel-McCullough. Eimac merged with Varian Associates in 1965, although it continued to operate as a separate business unit, and remained so when Varian's entire electron devices operation was spun off as CPI in 1995.
