[edit] Eileen
Eileen first appeared in 2000. Her two sons, Jason and Todd, are by different fathers. One of Eileen's key characteristics is her loneliness, since she finds it difficult to find a partner. Her son Todd is Gay. Her promising relationship with Dennis Stringer failed when he left her for Janice Battersby. She has recently taken a romantic interest in Phil Nail.
Eileen is also known for being the mother of gay character Todd, and for physically brawling with the character Gail Platt in the street, after Gail made insulting homophobic remarks about Todd, who had gotten her daughter Sarah pregnant before cheating on her with another man and resulting in her going into premature labour with Gail and Eileen's grandson Billy. The baby died shortly afterwards.
She was recently dating Ernest Bishop's killer, Ed Jackson, even after disapproval from most of the street. It was during this relationship with Ed, a Christian, that Eileen came to the conclusion that she is agnostic.
