P.S. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you need help with anything or simply wish to say hello. :)

I have to say the History of your family line is amazing. How long did it take you to return to Judaism may I ask? Do you have any brothers or sisters and have they done the same? -User: olockers

Hello. Thank you for your kind words. If your question is when did I make Teshuvah, it was about 6 years ago. If your question is the time frame I was a Ba'al Teshuvah about 5 months, mainly to show the Rabbis that worked with me that I had already known Torah, Halakhah, and Teimani and Sepahardi Minhag. I am an only child. We have always had a mixed family. Part of my family were Orthodox, and another part of my family is Coservative/Reform.--EhavEliyahu 18:38, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Judaism

Shalom, Eliyahu. I just wanted to say "hello" and say that I look forward to working with you in the future; the articles you edit most often seem to be the ones I frequent most often, so I'm sure we'll be collaborating more in the future. I read your user page and was quite excited by what I saw. The ba'al teshuvah movement is one of my primary interests, and even passions, and it's always a joyous occasion when one returns to the faith of their fathers. Although my user page says very little about myself, I'm actually a ger tzedek of non-Jewish descent. I've been studying Judaism in all its various historical, geographic, and religious forms for quite some time, but 'attatched' myself to Judaism, as it were, only within the past year. I'm endeavouring to study as much independently myself and with orthodox rabbis I've befriended, before going though the formal process, as it is long and requires a commitment of time I can't provide at the moment since I'm in school and working. I'd love to know more about your familial history sometime, and the commitments you've made to tikkun olam sometime in the near future. Anyway, good luck with editing, and your spiritual path. Feel free to contact me anytime! Kaelus 20:40, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Title to your Jews of West Africa article

B"H

Shalom hhaberi

I think the Arabic for the sahel/savanna zone of Africa is Bilad-es-Sudan. I think the "l" in "el" becomes an "s" when it precedes words beginning with an "s."

hayye selam,

Toda Hhaberi,

I agree with you. When I intiated the name of the article I forgot about that. I think we are still okay if we reference it later in the article. At some point I want to do some work on the article.

Kol tuv,

[edit] African Jew article

Hi, your edit on Ancient Jewish Communities [1] resulted in a sentence without a verb. Did you delete more than you intended? Regards, Fayenatic london 13:23, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up. I think I was in a hurry that day. Thanks.--EhavEliyahu 15:24, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
You're welcome! Are you going to fix it? If not, I may revert your edit, but I presume you dispute some of the deleted text e.g. Igbos being described as Maghrebi Jewish, or claiming descent from Yemenite or Moroccan Jews. The link I gave above shows the full changes that you made. Fayenatic london
The last time I looked it seems like it was already changed. I looked today and it seems like someone already corrected it.--EhavEliyahu 04:26, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Sorry I just noticed exactly where the mistake was.--EhavEliyahu 04:31, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
