B"H

Greetings to all,

My name is Ehav Eliyahu Ever (אֶהַב אֶלִיָּהוּ עֵבֶר) and my name for aliyoth is Ehav ben Eliyahu (אֶהַב בֶּן אֶלִיָּהוּ). I come from a heavily mixed family; Senegalese, Sephardic, French, Indian, etc. and a few Ashkenazim who married into the fmaily. I was once adopted by an Igbo family and for a time I kind of identified with them. I mostly identify with the Sephardic Maghrebim and Senegalese sides.

In early 2002 I started praying at Sha'are Tzion Sephardic Minyon at Young Israel of 5th Ave on 16th Street (the rabbi for the Ashkenazi and Sephardic Synagogues at the time was Rabbi Israel Wohlgelernter).

I am a member of Tifereth Yisrael-Yemenite Jewish (Teimanim) Synagogue of Manhattan where I learn Torah from Rabbi Yair Yaish. Additionally, I learn from Rabbi Marc Angel of She’arith- Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue and Rabbi Aaron Raskin of the Benei Avraham Synagogue (Chabad) in Brooklyn.

I am currently writing a book about my life and the effects of culture on my philosophical outlook. I am hoping to complete it by about Febuary 2007 and find a publisher.

The ariticles that I work on the most are the following:

I received my BS in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University in Texas, and I currently work as a Compliance Engineer for an American based Japanese company. During my time in college I was a member of NSBE (The National Society of Black Engineers), as a math tutor for the Upward Bound Program at the University of Houton - Downtown. While in college I became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. I am no longer active in Phi Beta Sigma.

I know or am in the process of learning the following languages.

I hope to make Aliyah to Israel within the next four years. I am not sure exactly where I would want to live, but I am still searching.
