Eglinton Island

Eglinton Island is one of the Canadian arctic islands in the Northwest Territories, Canada. Eglinton is one of the Queen Elizabeth Islands. Located at 75°48'N 118°30'W, it measures 1,541 square kilometers in size. It lies on the north side of the McClure Strait, just south of the much larger Prince Patrick Island and is uninhabited with no known human activity.
Eglinton Island was discovered in 1853 by explorers Francis Leopold McClintock and George Mecham.
Conspiracy theorists claim that a UFO landed on the island on December 17, 1997.(citation needed)
