User:Edwy/Active

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, I'm Edwy. I had been reading and editing Wikipedia for some time before creating an account, but I'm glad I did; as an anonymous user, you don't get a watchlist. If you'd like to contact me, please feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or send me an e-mail by clicking here.

Some of my pet peeves are evident from my userspace. I don't list my e-mail address here so as to avoid e-mail spam and I keep my talk page at a subpage because I dislike the "You have new messages" banner which appears whenever I have an unread message - it makes the message require immediate attention and cannot be read at a later time. I'm not as weird as I sound though ;-)

My edit-count is approximately 8,500, so I consider myself in the active range. I have never taken the Are You a Wikipediholic Test, so my edit count is the only test.

Picture of the day

Vibrissae (whiskers) of a Patagonian fox

A close-up of the face of a Culpeo, clearly showing its vibrissae, or whiskers. Vibrissae are specialized hairs that grow around the nostrils or other parts of the face in most mammals. They offer an advantage to animals that do not always have sight to rely on to navigate, or to find food, or when the usefulness of non-tactile senses is limited.
