Edward Tambling (1988- ) is currently the Junior Organ Scholar of Christ Church, Oxford, having been for 5 years a Music Scholar of Downside School. He became an associate of the Royal College of Organists in 2005 and was awarded the Sowerbutts and Durrant prize for gaining the highest marks in the written paper and the Lord St Audries Prize as the candidate under nineteen years of age gaining the highest marks. He is currently taught the organ by David Sanger, having been taught by his father Chris for a number of years. Edward has absolute pitch. Aside from musical interests, Edward composes Latin prose and verse.
