Currently one of Russia's most prolific and versatile composers, Edward Mekhraliev has long been recognized among the most innovative musical talents in game industry. His ability to create any kind of music, from pop & rock to full-blown symphonic scores, from avant-garde electronics to ethnic tunes has earned him a reputation of first-class composer for both media entertainment industry and performance stages.

A child prodigy, Edward had studied piano at the age of five. After graduating from the musical college, where his classical training included both musical theory and history, along with playing brass and conducting, Edward studied in the Russian Academy of Music. His further education included study of composition, fugue and counterpoint with composer/conductor Dennis Fyodorov, the Professor of Organ and deputy title organist at Lausanne Cathedral, Switzerland.

In the early 1990-s he was engaged in teaching music in various colleges and children art centres, and as a freelance tutor. Since 1997 Edward developed a strong interest in ancient and traditional musical cultures, and even organized a number of expeditions to the North and Far East of Russia, investigating the musical folklore and instruments of native people and composing for local ethnic ensembles.

Completing his some twenty year long education in the late 1990-s Edward Mekhraliev established himself as a pre-eminent composer and orchestrator, as well as trumpeter, saxophonist, ethnic woodwinds and keyboards player. While fulfilling his aggressive schedule as guest performer, Mekhraliev continued to compose extensively for any sort of media and stage.

His talent for creating arresting and memorable music, always done with mastery and professionalism, took him into numerous projects, as diverse as maestro's creative abilities. Among the most praised projects are: medieval realtime 3D strategy 'Besieger' (2004), children game quest 'Buka's Adventures: Rescuing of Buratino' (2004), high-tech tactical action 'Heavy Duty' (2006), not forgetting the powerful intro music to the war strategy 'Steel Monsters' (aka 'Pacific Storm', 2006).

At the moment Edward Mekhraliev is hard at work on the original game score 'WolfHound', an epic slavic fantasy after the bestselling novels by Maria Semyonova. The future projects include action game score to 'Star Legion: Battle for Orange Planet', developing by AV Games.
