Edward Carson (English politician)

Edward Carson (17 February 1920 – 6 March 1987) was an English Conservative Party politician. He was the son of the more famous Edward Henry Carson, Baron Carson of Duncairn in the County of Antrim. He attended Eton - as did his son (a barrister who lives in Henley) and two of his grandsons. He was the progeny of his father's second marriage - the first having been terminated by bereavement.
Hon. Edward Carson was seen as something of a political naif. He was recruited to appear at rallies in the Paisleyite cause in the late 1960s.
He was Member of Parliament for Isle of Thanet from 1945 until he resigned from the House of Commons in 1953
