Edna Wallace

Edna Wallace is a fictional character on the NBC soap opera, Passions. Edna is played by Kathleen Noone.

Edna isn't much of a mother. When she was younger Edna was a prostitute. Her boyfriends and johns would often molest Beth. One of Edna's johns was Alistair Crane who is Beth's biological father. Growing up Beth referred to Edna's friend Mr. Wallace the owner of the bookstore she would late work at as her father. After his death Beth discovered Mr. Wallace was not only not her father but he had also never married her mother.
Edna is known to be very critical of Beth and constantly degrades her. As bad as Edna is as a mother she tries to get Beth to do the right thing but this never works, primarily because Beth is a psychopath. Edna for the most part keeps quiet about Beth's schemes even though she disagrees with them. She often undermines Beth's schemes such as when she allowed Sheridan Crane to have contact with Sheridan's son Marty Lopez-Fitzgerald even though Beth had kidnapped the child and passed him off as her own.
Edna is very old and walks with a walker. An argument with Beth led to Edna's fall and paralysis.
Beth didn't have the money to take care of her ailing mother and so hired an orangutan named Precious to care for her ailing mother.
Recently Edna and Norma the axe weilding killer that tries to kill Tabitha every Christmas are hanging out and are now friends they were last seen on the 4th of July putting on a independence day show in Rome. There is a possiblity that they could be back close to Christmas time to give Tabitha more trouble!
