Edna Parker

Edna Parker (born April 20, 1893 in Morgan County, Indiana) is an American supercentenarian, Indiana's oldest living person and currently the 5th oldest person in the world. Edna already ranks in the all-time top 100, as of October 2006.
She was born on a farm and taught a two-room schoolhouse in Smithland, Indiana, until she decided to marry her next door neighbor, Earl Parker (who died in 1938). Earlier that year, she graduated from Franklin College with a degree in education. She lives in Shelbyville, Indiana. According to her, she has "five grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren and more great-great grandchildren than anyone can readily remember". (She outlived her two sons.)
