Reviews
- Hello there, Pink moon1287. Sorry for the delay, it is hard to do this regularly ;)
-
- First of all, an impressive amount of category edits! That kind of edits (image, category, portal and template) is rarely seen in editors, as everyone prefers to focus on the mainspace. It is good to see there are users who do care about creating and maintaining categories.
- Now, answering your question: At Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Standards you will find a list of different standards some editors use when determining whether a candidate would be a good administrator or not. Personally, I believe an administrator needs to have at least 10% of his/her total edits in the Wikipedia namespace, or at least 1,000 if the user has over 10,000 edits. A candidate must work with other administrators, directly (discussing policies, requests for adminship, etc) or indirectly (reporting vandals, participating in XFDs, etc). I suggest you to participate more actively in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion and Wikipedia:Templates for deletion, maybe doing some new articles and new users patrolling, etc.
- I also suggest improving your edit summary usage. This helps others to both know what you are doing, and to locate versions in the history faster than just checking every revision.
- As I have suggested others, maybe you should pick an article from a topic you like with other active contributors, and discuss in the talk page how to improve it. Communication between users in article talk pages is necessary when working in the same article.
- I liked the way you took the reverts of your user categorization by birthday and the suggestion of deleting a category you have created for child actors. That demonstrates you are willing to listen to others and try to comprehend changes of current situations, even if that implies having many edits you have done reverted. Keeping a cool head is necessary for editors, and much more for administrators.
- I reviewed the newest 10 images you have uploaded. You forgot to add a source to Image:UMV Logo.jpg, Image:AIdol1.jpg (tagged with {{fair use reduce}}, Image:Technocracy.gif and Image:Jcoxey.jpg (otherwise it is not possible for other editors to check its free license). Image:Poorhse.gif and Image:Pftsobctaylor.jpg could use a better source, while I tagged Image:Jennabryson.jpg as orphaned.
- I also notice you had two or three usernames before. While that is not uncommon, when doing that the user usually changes his old signature with the new one to prevent confusions. In example, in your talk page you sign with two different usernames.
- It is good you help articles to reach featured articles. Some editors have a 1FA clause when reviewing candidates for adminship, where the candidate needs to have helped in at least one featured article. While I do not think that proves the ability of the user to be a good admin (the same way the amount of edits does not reflect the importance of the editor), it is good to know you will not have to worry about them.
- From what I see, this is the last warning you posted (at least, since I checked your contributions). Administrators are expected to fight vandalism, and a good way of doing that is watching controversial pages, checking which articles are named in the Main Page (vandals usually edit them trying to deface Wikipedia), or checking Special:Recent changes or Special:Newpages. As you revert vandalism and warn them in their pages, you may get stressed, so begin adding "administrative" tasks slowly to be sure you are not overwhelmed with the activity. While it is important to have regular contributors, it is also important to have them as healthy as possible :-)
- You have potential to become an administrator, however the community will likely request you to demonstrate administrator-like abilities. Thus, if you really want to become one, I suggest to spend a little more time watching discussions at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship and the different XFDs. Good luck! -- ReyBrujo 04:49, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Questions
- Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- I've probably at least helped get a few articles to featured or good status but I forget which ones. I don't really keep track of featured/good articles - I focus on content.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- I have not been in any disputes/conflicts that I know of. Most (if not all) of my talk page messages are about minor, less important things than that.
