Physicq210 (talk • contribs) I've been an editor on Wikipedia for around a year now, and have given in many processes (RfA, AfD, naming of state highways, to name a few). I am trying to see what hurdles are left to clear before I attempt adminship in around December, January, or February, although I feel slightly intimidated by the RfA process, and hence I am coming here for more outside opinions to judge my readiness for such a leap. Thanks for any comments and/or suggestions! 210physicq (c) 20:20, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
Reviews
- I think you could be a good admin. RFA usually likes around like 3-5K edits and 6 months or so, edit summaries, and civility. I passed although I mostly have highway edits, but other subject areas are helpful. AFD, RFA, etc participation look good too. Being a "leader" or respected in the community is good too, as are dilligence. And no controversial edits either. I had all of these and got a approved RFA, although I think they tightened up the standards. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 20:47, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- Well, since you were asking for ideas whether you are prepared or not for adminship, the fact that you have been nominated makes a review kind of unnecessary, as you will discover it in the RFA page. Good luck! -- ReyBrujo 17:30, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Questions
- Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- I am especially pleased with San Francisco International Airport, which I (and many other editors) cleaned up other the course of months and managed (so far) to get it to GA status. I am also pleased with my single-handed (except deletion of required redirects) move of the Nevada state highway articles during the establishment of the WP:USSH convention. I also enjoy editing within the realm of the airport-related articles, in which the relevant WikiProject implemented my suggestion of including native names inside airport infoboxes. --210physicq (c) 20:37, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- Discounting vandalism, I have not engaged in edit conflicts. I have, however, involved myself in the heated discussion regarding the naming of state highways, and have emerged relatively stress-free.
- Regarding my dealings with occuring or potential conflicts, I usually will to the best of my ability to engage in civil discussion, and will revert only twice before moving to the talk page. I aim for compromise as the foremost option, and if the other party rejects compromise, then I will allow the other party to add his or her information on the article, and wait for other editors to judge the contents' usefulness. --210physicq (c) 20:37, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
