[edit] User:Nightstallion

Nightstallion (talk contribs) I've been appointed as an administrator in January 2006 and was wondering what people thought of my actions in general; things I can point as a reference to are €2 commemorative coins and List of European Union member states, both of which I've written from scratch, and WP:RM, which I'm taking care of almost on my own. ;) Thanks for adding your opinion!

Reviews

  • My only minor complaint: Could you use descriptive edit summaries when you have dealt with move requests at WP:RM? "Removing three move requests, three remain for this day" would suffice, while "remove "Orange (colour) (not moved), Wien (moved to Vienna)" would be perfect. Without an edit summary, the only visible difference between your removal of a move request and a vandal's on my watchlist is your username, which is perhaps a bit short as an explanation for those who don't know you. Otherwise, you are doing a *great* job with the move requests. Weiter so! Kusma (討論) 15:59, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
I'll try to think of that in the future. Thanks for the feedback! —Nightstallion (?) Seen this already? 21:46, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
Much better now - thanks! Kusma (討論) 15:12, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
Gladly! Should I, at any time in the future, happen to forget commenting my actions at WP:RM, I'd kindly ask you to remind me of it; it's likely to be due to lack of sleep or concentration, not due to lack of willingness. ;) —Nightstallion (?) Seen this already? 18:49, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
  • Nightstallion is one of my favorite Wikipedians. I still stand behind the comments I made in his RfA. Keep up the good work! --TantalumTelluride 04:38, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

  • I think you're doing an excellent job, especially on Requested Moves (one of the more forgotten about admin tasks). Keep it up! Smurrayinchester 13:59, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
  • You have a well balanced number of edits in each namespace and you have done excellent work on the €2 commemorative coins article. In other words, you are an excellent user. Keep up the good work & congratulations on becoming admin. --Evan Robidoux 00:45, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Questions

  1. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
See above; I've also made minor contributions to a lot of articles related to topics you can read about on my user page.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I've had to deal with sock puppets twice (once in relation with South Tyrol and once in relation with the former Queen of Greece), and there's always the occasional editorial dispute; I tend to try to discuss it a lot at first, but usually let it rest if it becomes clear that the other party isn't interested in consensual resolution (which happens too often...).
