FozzyMaple (talk • contribs) I have ben a member on wikipedia for I beleive a little over a year, I am keenly interested in improving as an editor (thus the review) I am quite proud of the work I have done with the article on Robert Lockwood Jr., it formerly being two pages on the same person, I have also aded a section on the criticisms of the Plain Dealer (Cleveland, ohio Daily newspaper) to that article. At some point in the future I would like to become an admin, but nowhere in the near future, as I am still learning how to use the site, after all, my user page is pretty weak compared to some. I am also a high school student who runs Track and cross country, as well as playing viola in the school orchestra, so I don't have a huge amount of time to devote to wikipedia.
Reviews
- Very quick review, since I'd rather wait until you've told us a little about yourself before going into excessive detail. You're off to a good start, and I suggest you try and find a WikiProject that piques your interest - they're a good way to involve yourself in the Wikipedia as a new user, and have a never-ending backlog of tasks for you to have a go at. Try to make at least 10-15 edits per day, and you'll be well on your way to becoming an established user very quickly. Good luck, and happy editing! Questions
- Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- I am most proud of my contributions to the article on Robert Lockwood Jr., having merged two similar and poor quality pages into one coherent article, albeit one that still needs a good deal of work. I am most proud of this contribution because I happen to like the blues, and I think that Mr. Lockwood is perhaps the most interesting of all living blues players, having been taught by Robert Johnson, this is also my first merger.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- Yes, when I tried to write an article on the Cleveland area band JiMiller Band, twice I strted the article, and before I could even get much of anywhere someone nominated as a CSD under criteria A7, uninteresting people. THis still irks me, as I feel they are an important part of the Cleveland scene, and was trying to fill in a link thatt goes nowhere (you cna see the link I was trying to fill in by searching for the list of jam bands. I delat with this by contacting thpose who had decided to delete it, and got nowhere, so I never tried to write it again, I might though.
