Coredesat (talk • contribs) I'm working on possibly running for adminship in the near future, and I'd like to see what else I'd need. I already have WP:ANI and XfD experience (vast amounts of XfD experience, almost too much, which I sort of regret) and I'm active on recent changes and new page patrol, and I have reported over 50 vandals to WP:AIV. I've also got one featured article and four good articles. Coredesat talk! 05:44, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

- Phwoar! I'm more than a little jealous at your success here - you have more XfD edits than I have in total, and more Feature Articles than I have Good Articles - but I'll try to think of something useful to say. Hrm. Nope, I've got nothing: you're doing insanely well, and I have no reason to believe that your RfA would be unsuccessful. Without a painstaking review of every edit you've ever made (which, no doubt, will be provided by ReyBrujo ;) ), I have nothing to offer you but my best wishes for the future. Congratulations. - I agree with Daveydweeb. Your stats are incredible for a future admin candidate. With a pretty high edit summary, your FA article should be enough to discourage those who will say you don't spend enough time writing articles (as I heard it once, before all, this is an encyclopedia). If anything, people may state that you have been actively contributing since June, although I do not think many will complain about that. I understand VP is a powerful too, but I am worried that sometimes it is too harsh against good faithed edits. In example, this edit was a good faithed one, but VP took that as vandalism, or this test, which was taken as vandalism as well. We must always assume good faith, and sometimes automated tools must be cooled down. However, these are just exceptions, as your general behaviour is pretty good. I don't really think adminship is too far from you. The community is bound to recognize your hard work. Good luck! -- ReyBrujo 02:54, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Questions
- Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- I'm most pleased with Hurricane Esther (1961), as I put a great deal of work into that article, and managed to get it from a start-class article about to be merged, to a featured article. Aside from that, the two articles I have written from scratch, Tropical Storm Bilis (2006) and Typhoon Saomai (2006), are probably my best contributions to Wikipedia, and with help (mainly on Saomai), both have become good articles. Also, I managed to solve the cruft problem on Gaia Online, and turn it into a respectable article, at least for a while.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- I've had a few conflicts with other users, but I kept my cool in all of them. A good example is my conflict with User:Acadamenorth over his deleted article. Despite his personal attacks on myself and a few others who took part in a certain AFD discussion, I managed to keep my cool, and was able to get administrator assistance that led to his indefinite block for personal attacks and vandalism. I'm quite active on recent changes and new page patrol, and despite vandalism, personal attacks, and accusations from various vandals, I have managed to keep cool.
