Heimstern_Läufer (talk • contribs) I've been here off and on for awhile; recently decided to get seriously involved with Wikipedia. I'm interested in seeing how people find my contributions thus far. I've mainly been invloved in reverting vandalism and warning vandals, although I'm trying to get involved in other areas of Wikipedia as well.
Reviews
- Since you're already well involved in vandal fighting, you might like to explore some other ways in which you can contribute to the encyclopedia. A WikiProject might have something to interest you, and can be an excellent way of encouraging onesself to introduce new material and other significant contributions to interesting articles. That said, you should also begin to discuss any major changes you make on article talk pages, to ensure that people know what you're doing and your full rationale for doing so. You're doing well - good work, and please keep it up. :) Daveydweeb (chat/patch) 13:03, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

- I've followed your advice and signed up with WikiProject Opera and have had some good experiences with that. Hoping to have more success as time goes on. Thanks for your advice. Heimstern Läufer 20:53, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Questions
- Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- Other than my many vandal reverts (which are utterly addictive, by the way), I've enjoyed improving Wikipedia's information about the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Joseph Haydn. Thus far, it's consisted primarily of making stubs about Mozart symphonies and adding keys and dates to List of symphonies by Joseph Haydn. It's not much yet, but I hope to continue to improve it greatly over time.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- Well, I don't edit the really controversial articles like George W. Bush or Abortion too often, so I don't have as many conflicts as some. I have had a couple little issues, like getting negative comments on my talk page in response to reverts, warnings or AFD comments that people don't like. I generally try to just keep a cool head. If the situation requires a response, I try to reasonably explain why I think my decisions are consistent with Wikipedia policies. I also try as hard as I can to keep open to the possibility I was wrong.
