Edgar Chamorro

Edgar Chamorro was Nicaragua's special ambassador to the U.N. General Assembly during the Contra war. Chamorro, a former Contra leader, was one of the whistle-blowers during the conflict that exposed CIA involvement in the affair. He is a member of the prominent Chamorro family and the descendent of four of Nicaragua's past presidents.

Chamorro is author of Packaging of the Contras: A Case of C.I.A. Disinformation (1987). He is currently a teacher of Spanish and Latin at Simon's Rock College, and the John Dewey Academy in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
