Edappally is a fast growing town in the suburbs of Cochin City in Kerala state, south India.The town is famous for St. George's Church which is quiet old and is a pilgrimage centre. [[Perandoor Temple,Thrickovil Sree Krishna Temple,Edappally Palace, Edappally mosque(more than 1000 years old) and many other old buildings are preserved in Edappally. It is the home town of the famous malayalam poets Changampuzha Krishna pillai and Edappally Raghavan Pillai.One of the most famous Malayalam poets Mr.Balachandran Chullikkad is staying here. Two National highways NH 47 and NH 17 goes through Edappally. One of the best Hospital in Kerala named Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences is situated in Edappally. It is a place which comes under Thripunithura legislative constituency.The cochin byepass connects Edappaly with Aroor which is a industrial town near the city of cochin. Toll Junction in Edappally is a busy market and a joint for the city-bred youngsters.two movie houses named Vanitha and Vineetha are located here.The world famous museum of kerala history and sculpture is also located in Edappally.Thrikkakkara temple is only 2 kilometers away from Edappally Toll junction.
