[edit] Review Controversies
Ed Zitron has become famous (or infamous, depending on your point of view) for his harshly critical reviews.
Mr. Zitron's most recent claim to fame is the record low 8% score given to the MMO Roma Victor[1], the lowest score given in PCZone magazine's history. Although many players seem to agree with his evaluation of the game, there has been some vocal opposition to his review[2]. Some players feel that such a harsh score is 'shifty' or the result of bias against the game. Recently, accusations have even been made that he was fired over his review, despite the fact that he has since had other reviews published in PCZone[3].
Mr. Zitron has also drawn criticism for the unusually low score he gave to Guitar Hero 2 at Snackbar Games[4], most notably at their forums[5].
[edit] Dr. Zitron's Saturday Surgery
During the 2005-2006 academic year, Mr. Zitron hosted a radio show on Penn State's radio station, The Lion 90.7fm, called Dr. Zitron's Saturday Surgery, as well as acting as a DJ during other regular shows during the week. His shows were notable for his eclectic music choices, as well as some of the wacky personalities that called in.
[edit] Dr. Zitron's A&E
During 2006, Mr. Zitron hosted a show on Aberystwyth University's radio station, Bay Radio, called Dr. Zitron's A&E (Afternoons and Evenings), which aired from 4pm to 6pm GMT on Thursdays.
