Ed Pawlowski

Ed Pawlowski is the mayor of Allentown, Pennsylvania, in the United States. He has held this office since January 2006.
Pawlowski is a Democrat. A Chicago native, he holds a Bachelor of Arts from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and a Master of Arts from the University of Illinois.
He served as Director of Community and Economic Development for the first three years of the administration of previous Allentown mayor Roy C. Afflerbach, but resigned in protest. After Afflerbach decided not to run for re-election in 2005, Pawlowski decided to run to replace him. After winning a three-way Democratic primary, he won 59% of the vote and all Allentown precincts against Republican nominee and former mayor William Heydt.
