Rocko and Mr. Bighead run against each other for the office of Dog Catcher.

Heffer helps Mr. Bighead win a golf game that has been rigged in Mr. Dupette's favor.

• First appearance of Mr. Noeaway.

• Rocko appears for only three seconds in Teed Off.

• There are a few references made to Star Wars in this episode:

-The head groundskeeper resembling and making heavy breathing sounds like Darth Vader.

-The command room resembles the bridge of The Executor in The Empire Strikes Back complete with guards in white uniforms resembling Stormtroopers.

-When the head groundskeeper gets angry at Mr. Noeaway, it seems like he is mentally choking him much like Vader did with The Force.

-When Heffer flies over the golf course he shouts "Woo-hoo!" as he drops the ball in the hole like many pilots in Star Wars do.

-Heffer crashing into the command center just like the A-Wing pilot did in Return of the Jedi.
