Judgment Day 2006 ECW One Night Stand 2006 Vengeance 2006

ECW One Night Stand 2006 was a pay-per-view event promoted by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, New York on June 11, 2006. This event featured former wrestlers from the defunct Extreme Championship Wrestling promotion, whose holdings WWE purchased in bankruptcy court. The event was announced by Paul Heyman and Tazz at a house show in Long Island, New York on February 18, 2006. Paul Heyman and Tommy Dreamer booked the event and were in complete control of the ECW PPV this year, however all ideas had to be run by Vince McMahon before the final product hit the airwaves. WWE claimed that tickets for the event sold out within 90 minutes on April 15, 2006.

The event was criticized for the fact that the roster available for the show was very limited, due to some big-name ECW alumni (such as Raven, Shane Douglas, Rhino, and the Dudley Boyz) being signed to contracts with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). However, Paul Heyman has said that there were no issues in regards to getting enough talent to appear at the PPV.

The One Night Stand DVD was released on July 11, 2006, and features the WWE vs. ECW Battle Royal from WWE vs. ECW- Head to Head, post-show comments from fans, and the opening segment from the premier edition of ECW on Sci-Fi as extras. It also comes with a second disc, featuring the first ever ECW pay-per-view, ECW Barely Legal.
