Talk:Eco-anarchism

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Eco anarchism, Green Anarchism, and to some extent, Primitive Anarchism all can be grouped together. There are some people who feel they need to emphasize an aspect of anarchism, relate it to the focus of their efforts and ideals they strive for, and perhaps to help other people understand them too, since "anarchism" by itself has strong connotations of chaos, violence and general negativity in mainstream culture. Other common descriptive labels used are Social Anarchism and Feminist Anarchism.

Primitivist anarchism is significantly different to have an article of its own (although it's actually a branch of green/eco). I don't think anyone disputes that this and green anarchism are effectively the same thing. The question is, which name should we use? I tend to prefer "green", although eco has a slight edge in Google results. Sarge Baldy 21:41, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

I'd say that green anarchism and eco anarchism are the same thing but it sounds better to call it eco anarchism since if you call it green anarchism it gives it conotations of the green party and/or marijuana which it is not about

[edit] primitivism and anarchism

please lets not ascociate either

[edit] a real life example

is the kibutz in Israel a good example of eco-anarchism? either way you should list some examples on this page so people know of some eco-anarchism in action sort of thing!!!!!!!!

I was about to mention it. Not to mention that the kibbutzes actually work, they're not some luddite fantasy. Joffeloff 17:49, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Discussion on end of civilization

Anarchists input would be appreciated at Talk:End_of_civilization. There seems to be some disagreement what the end of civilization actually means. nirvana2013 17:47, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
