Eclipse is a brand of breath mint manufactured by the Wrigley Company of Chicago.
[edit] Description
An Eclipse mint is a white-and-blue oval prism rounded at top and bottom, the top half white and the bottom half very light blue, unadorned by lettering or symbols.
The ingredients are not made public. Though classified as breath mints, it is unknown if the mints contain active antibacterial ingredients.
Unusually for American mints, Eclipse mints are packaged in a metal box. The top of the box (narrow end) is attached with metal hinge (a true hinge, not a living hinge like many boxed mints). The top may be opened and pushed back on the hinge to gain access to the mints. On opening the box the tagline "POWERFUL FRESH BREATH" is revealed, printed on a raised metal plate on the inner surfact of the lid.
50 mints are contained in each package.
[edit] Availability
Eclipse mints are sold in the United States, New Zealand and Australia.
[edit] Eclipse gum
Eclipse mints were introduced in 2003 as a brand extension of Eclipse chewing gum.
