[edit] Biography

Eclipse was formed in 2003 by David Mc Gregor and Frederick Dufresne, both ambitious to play heavy metal. Which later would become one of the Canada´s first power metal bands with : Forgotten Tales, Hanker & IceWind. Eclipse first line-up was formed in 2003 with David Mc Gregor, Vocals, Frédérick Dufresne, Keyboards & Axel Deschenes, Guitars. Some time after, Fred left the keyboards for the bass. Then David took the rythm guitars as a completion to his vocals, Fred returned the the keyboards, Axel took the bass and David's brother, Danny, joined as the lead guitarist. A whole year have passed since the DEBUT song, Beyond Death (Which one of the most ambitious songs they composed), have been finished. Then Fred, with some help of David, finished to compose their debut album, Dreamwaker, that will be recorded in 2007. Then Mike Lapointe, joined as the drummer. But left not long after. Due to the several conflicts between the two brothers, Danny decided to leave too and formed his own band, Jester Realm. Axel returned to lead guitars but left not long after. Returning to the start point, David & Fred where alone for Eclipse. Fred then decided to leave the band too, to focus on his other band, Mist. Now alone, and never wanting to abandon his dream, David focused then on finding new musicians and composing new songs. Which some are now a good succes, like, Warlords Of Legends & Winds Of Time. He found not long after the talented Drummer, J-F Poitras! Which could keep a fast beat for so long before being tired! Fred re-joined as a guest to not leave David at his own defeat. Then with Fred's help they found the amazing guitar player JanMi Ménard and the shredding bass player Martin. With these new 2 weapons, Fred re-joined permanently. After some time for personal reasons, JanMi and Martin left the band. Some time later the band have recruited Lyes Benchabla from Dreamcatcher. Since now a upcoming demo and some gigs the band will try ambitiously to be signed by the Major power metal label, Nuclear Blast. Until Now The Ecliptic movement is on the egde of delivering some metal to the mighty Warriors!

The first Demo Already Dead... But Alive! was released in 2006.
