Echt, Aberdeenshire

Echt (Gaelic: Eicht) is an Aberdeenshire crossroads village in north-east Scotland with a population of approximately 300 people.
Echt contains a church, a village shop/post office, a pub (The Cowdray Arms) and a park which is used for local football match and the annual Echt Show, a farmers' show.
It is centred around the junction of the B977 Dunecht–Banchory road and the B9119 Kingsford–Ordie road. It is some 12.5 miles (20 km) from the city of Aberdeen.
