Additional tips:
- Here are some extra tips to help you get around Wikipedia:
- If you made any edits before you got an account, you might be interested in assigning those to your username.
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills, try the Sandbox.
- Click on the Edit button on a page, and look at how other editors did what they did.
- You can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Always sign comments on Talk pages, never sign Articles.
- You might want to add yourself to the New User Log
- If your first language isn't English, try Wikipedia:Contributing to articles outside your native language

[edit] Reading comprehension comments
If you get permission to use copyrighted material, make sure that is thoroughly documented on the talk page (see [1] for an example); usually it's easier to just write stuff on your own (as you apparently did with the second version of the article). Please try to wikify your articles. References are great, the formatting could use some work (see Wikipedia:Cite sources). Rl 08:17, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image Copyright
I noticed you uploaded Image:Gardner3.JPG and Image:Gardner2.JPG.I wondered if you could elaborate on the source and copyright status of the of the image. You can contact me on my talk page. Cheers. Burgundavia 07:24, Apr 21, 2005 (UTC)
The image was taken with copyright permission from an internal company newsletter. EBlack 17:10, 14 May 2005 (UTC)
- Can you list on the image, what they said exactly? Thus we can figure out if we need to get more permissions from them or not. Burgundavia (✈ take a flight?) 09:46, May 31, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Mind map program
Hello EBlack, this is my first time editing a page, I have read how to do it but apologies if I am doing anything wrong.
Reading the Mind map article and discussion, it looks like you have developed a program based on FreeMind. I know you wanted users to share with each other instead of asking you and so have I contacted some other people.
However if you could provide me with a link to download the program and source code I would be very grateful. I am a big fan of the program FreeMind and if you have developed a version with stronger support for images, I would like to know your opinion on providing the source code to the developers.
Can you e-mail me through the ‘E-mail this user’ feature on Wikipedia. I will not pass on any contact details you provide. My user name is Ryan.1. Thanks

You are in violation of the Three-revert rule.
If you violate the three-revert rule, after your fourth revert in 24 hours, sysops may block you for up to 24 hours.
Please try to reach consensus on the talk page instead of reverting. - Omegatron 20:26, July 26, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] HeadleyDown and EBlack - same person?
Just a quick question, are you the same person as HeadleyDown? --Comaze 03:39, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:The three ideologies.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:The three ideologies.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you.
[edit] Source and license information for Mind_Mapping.JPG
[edit] Possibly unfree Image:Mind_Mapping.JPG
G'day EBlack,
I think the Mind Mapping image is fantastic, and I'd really like to see it stay. If you can provide source and licensing information on this image, that would be appreciated.
