Talk:Eastwood, New Jersey

[edit] Accuracy?

There are some details in this article that seem inconsistent with other data.

  1. "born 1894" - this is contradicted with the quote "Eastwood caught the borough fever in March, 1986"
(I am assuming the latter is supposed to be 1896.) What is the correct date?
  2. "When River Vale was incorporated in 1906, it included the area that had been the stillborn Borough of Eastwood."
This is contradicted by the maps of the time. See Image:BergenCounty 1918.jpg, which shows Eastwood having reverted to Washington Township. At what point did the territory join River Vale?
  3. "Eastwood was formed from the old Washington Township in the area on the west of present-day River Vale and east of Westwood."
Present-day River Vale includes the former Eastwood territory (the southern portion of River Vale). Eastwood was west of Harrington Park.

Clarifications? Thanks. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 20:46, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
