Eastern Book Company, based in Lucknow, is India's leading publisher of law books. Established in the 1940s by two brothers, CL Malik and PL Malik, it has now grown into all areas of the legal publishing business.
It continues to be family run, where all the members are professionally qualified from the best universities in India and abroad. It publishes Supreme Court Cases - a law report that has become the first choice citation in all the Courts in India.
Its venture in electronic publishing under the SCC Online suite of products has established it as the frontrunner both in terms of the legal content provided and the technology used to present the material. It is growing at a fast pace to be the surest way to legal research.
