East Dean and Friston is the name of a civil parish in East Sussex, England. The two villages within the parish are located at a dry valley on the South Downs between Eastbourne [3 miles (4.8km) to the east] and Seaford (an equal distance to the west). East Dean lies in the valley bottom; Friston at the top of the hill to the west. The A259 road goes through both villages.
The church in East Dean has a Saxon tower: see photo here.
