East Carolina University College of Education

The College of Education at East Carolina University is the oldest College at the University. The original mission of ECU was a Teacher Training College.
The College has ten undergraduate programs, eight graduate programs, Doctoral program, and a Educational Specialist/Certificate of Advanced Study.

The College offers seven Bacholor of Science (BS) and four Bacholor of Science in Business Education (BSBE).
The seven BS programs are:
- Elementary Education
- English, Secondary Education
- History, Secondary Education
- Middle Grades Education
- Special Education, Adapted Curriculum
- Special Education, General Curriculum
- Mathematics, Secondary Education
- Science Education
The four BSBE degrees are:
- Business Education
- Business and Marketing Education
- Information Technologies - undergraduate non-teaching program
- Marketing Education

The School offers a Masters of Art in Education with eight concentrations:

- Special Education in Behavioral Emotional Disablities, Learning Disabilities, Low Incidence Disabilities, Mental Retardation
The School offers a Masters in School Administration

The doctoral program is a Doctor of Educational Leadership. The degree also offers a concentration in Higher Education Administration that is designed for individuals who seek administrative positions in higher education.
