United States of Earth? When was it ever called that? Or is the term being used because the US took over. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Quolnok (talk • contribs).

Still, it was never called "United States of Earth" it was just Earth. Also it is quite obvious that this is the Futurama Earth government. - Quolnok 14:35, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Actually, I think the US is still seen as a part of the whole, like kansas is part of the US. In some episode or other (It may have been When Aliens Attack or The Day the Earth Stood Stupid) Leela says Earth will be destroyed, and Fry says it's lucky they're in the US, and Leela says the US is part of Earth... to which Fry says something like "I'd hate to be those guys." So it probably is just Earth, rather than the United States of Earth. --Buddy13 21:30, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

I believe it was "I have been gone a long time."
Country names are still used, occasionally (new) state names are also (Bendin' in the Wind), so if anything it would most likely be "United Countries of Earth"/UCE, however United States of Earth/USE/United Countries of Earth/UCE are all non-cannonical namings never used in the show, comentaries, comics or game, if I'm not mistaken, and as such the article should be called "Earth Government (Futurama)" - Quolnok 03:04, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
