The title of Earl of Portsmouth was created in the Peerage of Great Britain in 1743.
The Earl holds the subsidiary titles of Viscount Lymington (1720) and Baron Wallop (1720), both in the Peerage of Great Britain.
The family seat is Farleigh House in Hampshire.
