Earl of Newport

The title of Earl of Newport was created in the Peerage of England in 1628. It became extinct upon the death of the fourth Earl in 1679. The earls held the subsidiary titles of Baron Mountjoy of Mountjoy Fort (1618) and Baron Mountjoy of Thurveston (1627).
