Earl Roberts
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The title of Earl Roberts of Kandahar in the Peerage of the United Kingdom was created in 1901 for Lord Roberts of Kandahar, the great British military hero. The subsidiary title of Viscount St Pierre was created simultaneously. The Earldom and the Viscountcy were created with special remainders to the Earl's daughters, as his sons had already predeceased him. The title became extinct upon the death of the first Earl's younger daughter, the 3rd Countess, in 1955.
