EAR (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Experimental Audio Research is a group comprising Peter Kember (Sonic Boom), formerly of Spacemen 3 and others, including Kevin Shields from Irish shoegazers, My Bloody Valentine.

Commonly referred to simply as E.A.R., the collective is one of Kember's several post-Spacemen 3 projects, which also include Spectrum as well albums released under the Sonic Boom moniker.

"The Koner Experiment" is a collection of 10 untitled tracks recorded with the help of legendary sound manipulator Tomas Koner.

"Data Rape" features obsolete Speak and Spell machines rewired so as to force the machines to communicate in a way the manufacture did not intend; it is another in Kember's long line of experimental sound manipulations.

"Live at the Dream Palace" is a 2000 release of a 1998 show recorded live in New Orleans.
