Eagle Ridge Middle School is a public secondary school in Ashburn, VA. It is part of Loudoun County Public Schools, located in the Broadlands subdivision. Students at Eagle Ridge finish their schooling at Briar Woods High School.
[edit] History
Eagle Ridge opened in 2001 to alleviate crowding at Harper Park Middle School in Leesburg, which was re-designated to be the feeder middle school from Stone Bridge High School to the then-future Heritage High School in Leesburg. Eagle Ridge then served as the feeder middle school to Stone Bridge until Belmont Ridge Middle School of Leesburg opened in 2004 as its feeder middle school. Eagle Ridge was then designated to feed into Briar Woods, which opened in 2005. In the 2007-2008 school year the boundaries will change again and students living in the southern half of the zone will attend Stone Hill Middle and Eagle Ridge will in turn take students from both Belmont Ridge and Farmwell Station Middle Schools. Which will make Eagle Ridge feed three high schools, Briars Woods, Broad Run, and Stone Bridge.
