Eager
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Eager started as a side-project for Patrick Andrew of PFR as the band was breaking up in 1997. Patrick heard an independent recording by Greg Pope, and invited him to tour with PFR as a backup guitarist. Following the breakup for PFR, Patrick Andrew and Greg Pope moved to Nashville. There they recruited a drummer, Paul Eckberg, and a former bandmate of Greg Pope from the group Green Apples, Mark Kloos. The band came up with the name Eager after a layover in Amsterdam where Patrick saw a sign for Eager Design Company, and thought it fit the description of the musical direction he was wanting to lead the band into. The group recorded a single album, which met little commercial success, and Eager disbanded shortly afterward.
