Dynamite Dan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dynamite Dan is a platform game for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum written by Rob Bowkett and released by Mirrorsoft in 1985.
Arguably a Jet Set Willy clone but with superior colourful graphics and sound effects. A very highly rated game at the time and one of the few games that is still playable now via emulation.
At the start of the game, the title character has just landed his zeppelin on top of a mad scientist's mansion. The mansion's many monster-infested rooms contain a total of approximately seven sticks of dynamite, which Dan must find first. With these, he can enter the safe, where the scientist is hiding.
A sequel (Dynamite Dan 2) followed in the following year which featured around 200 rooms.
