[edit] Dylan's Beginnings
Dylan Michalchuk is a former student of Degrassi Community School, he graduated in the Class of '04. He was first mentioned in the season 1 episode Secret and Lies. He is also the older homosexual brother of Paige Michalchuk.

[edit] Meeting Marco
Dylan is first introduced into the show by being the older brother of Paige Michalchuk. He is her older brother and a senior at Degrassi Community School. While driving Paige and her friends to the beach one afternoon, he meets Marco with Paige's friends. He senses a strange feeling from Marco, knowing he is different. Once Marco breaks up with Ellie, Dylan is there to comfort him.

After much anticipation, Dylan asks Marco out on a date. Dylan is at first very hesitant, since his first date with another boy was a bad experience. They continue with a date, but it continued to be one mishap after the other. Despite this, they still feel a bond between each other.

[edit] Making Marco Come Out
Though Dylan is happy dating Marco, he is frustrated that Marco is so discreet about them. He tells Marco that he needs to come out to his family. Marco resists at first. But after talking to his mom so much, Marco gives in to Dylan's request and tells his mom, but not his dad. Dylan is proud of him for doing that.

Since Marco is still at Degrassi, and Dylan is at university, they don't spend much time together. While Marco decides to make a surprise visit to Dylan's dorm, Marco walks in on Dylan with another boy. Dylan tries to explain that he loves Marco, but he simply wants an open relationship. Marco tells him no.
Later that evening Dylan invites Marco to a party at his school. Marco tries to make Dylan jealous by flirting with other guys, but Dylan isn't phased by it at all. Marco decides to end it with Dylan.

[edit] Winning Marco Back
A year later, Dylan is back in town visiting his family when he sees Marco again. Marco, still not over last year, uses a new guy Tim to make Dylan jealous. Dylan taunts and haunts Marco to the point of Marco's great frustration. He eventually challenges Marco to a game of poker, which blows up into a big fight. Marco leaves frustrated.
After realizing what he was being used for, Tim breaks up with Marco, telling him to go back to his lying cheating boyfriend, because that is where he belongs.
The next day at school, Dylan drives up to meet Marco in front of the school, and apologizing for how much he hurt him in the past. Marco says he can't resist him, and they kiss to make up with each other.

Now that Marco is finished with high school and going to university, Dylan and Marco decided to move in together. At first they plan it on just being the two of them, but Marco's best friend Ellie shows up at their door, since she got kicked out of her dorm at university.
