AFC Door Wilskracht Sterk ('Strong By Willpower') is a Dutch football club from Amsterdam. It was founded in 1909. In 1954 the club entered professional football in Holland, playing it home matches in the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam. DWS became champions of the Eredivisie in 1964, reaching the quarter finals of the European Champions Cup in the next season. In 1972 it fused with Blauw Wit and De Volewijckers to form FC Amsterdam. DWS continued as an amateur club, that still exist today.
