[edit] Ross Petot
Hi, Pitchka. I took at good look at the article's history, and you're right, it shouldn't have been tagged as a speedy delete and I should've looked at it more closedly before deleting it. I gladly reinstated it and included a comment that it's no longer eligible for speedy deletion.
I'm sorry that you've been meeting with difficulty so far. It's really unfortunate, but many new users aren't treated with the respect they deserve, and I'm very sorry about that. Please know I'm always open if you have any questions or problems that you might need help with. Keep up the good work, and happy editing! – ClockworkSoul 01:55, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Alessio Tramello
Hi! This article was tagged for notability and it caught my interest. As you would know, the guy was famous in his time and now becuse of his body of work. I added a bit of stuff and removed the tag but the article deserves some work. Someone who reads Italian could do a service on this one. I'm watching it with interest. Cheers! [edit] Francis Matthews
That was a good catch that they are one in the same Francis Matthews. I googled it to double check, and you are right. Well done! --Briancua 23:04, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Carl A. Anderson
Hi Dwain. I note that you created Carl A. Anderson. Do you have any connection to the organisation? --WikiCats 14:32, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
If your are a good catholic man over 18 you would be eligible to be nominated.[1] If you have any interest in this organisation please email me. --WikiCats 22:12, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Many are called, few are chosen. Pray about it. Email me.--WikiCats 00:24, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your user page
Hi, Dwain. I notice that some users have objected to the quotations on your user page. As administrator, I have been known to step in assertively when users had non-free images in their user space, or when a user (probably a teenager) had offensive pictures (pornographic with a "shock" value) on their user page, regardless of how annoying the user in question found my interference. I tend not to do it, when it's just ideas that are expressed, unless it's of the nature of "User X is a **********". I have seen user pages that were quite insulting to Christianity, Christians, Catholicism, etc., and I haven't interfered. I don't find your page worse than (or even as bad as) what I've already seen, and I think it's unbecoming for several users to swoop down and start edit warring on this issue — and it probably causes a lot of frustration for you, too.
That said, I wonder if I could persuade you to remove those quotations. They are rather confrontational. Personally, I like bishops to be direct, and to teach authoritatively, without watering anything down. But if something is offensive to some people (even though you could rightly point out that other people have had more offensive stuff and have been left in peace), and isn't doing any good, then, to my mind, there isn't really any point in keeping it. (I'm sure you'll agree that it's most unlikely that anyone will become a Catholic as a result of reading that Muhammad brought only things evil and inhuman, or that paganism is a step away from satanism.) Removing it would put an end to all the confrontation, and allow you to go back to editing in peace.
I'm sorry about the experience you had recently, when people started sending you vandalism warnings and reverting you for removing posts from your own talk page. (Removing posts from your talk page is discouraged, but definitely not forbidden.) If you ever need any help in a case like that, just drop me a line. However, it would probably make things easier for everyone if you avoided making deliberately-confrontational posts when it isn't necessary. Cheers. AnnH ♫ 01:03, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Archiving
You may want to see WP:ARCHIVE. JoshuaZ 21:46, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- Archiving is recommended, but not absolutely obligatory. Removal of unwanted comments is discouraged, but not forbidden. (Obviously, it shouldn't be done like this, and obviously, there's nothing at all wrong with removing posts that are abusive or trollish. It's generally considered very unbecoming to harass a user by reverting his own removal of comments from his talk page, unless, for example, it's a block notice for a current block, placed by an administrator. I have reverted 141.154.220.74's harassment, and strongly urge the person behind that IP not to continue. Thanks. AnnH ♫ 23:20, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Our Sunday Visitor
Hello,
Thank you for your stub submission. You may wish to note that it is preferable to use a stub template from Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Stub types instead of using simply {{stub}}, if you can.
Thanks! --Vox Causa 00:21, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
