The dwarf lanternshark, Etmopterus perryi, is a shark of the family Dalatiidae found off Colombia and Venezuela, at depths of between 280 and 440 m. Its length is up to 17 cm.
The dwarf lanternshark is one of the smallest living sharks. It has a long broad flat head, and the second dorsal fin is larger than the first. Each fin has a thin leading spine, slightly curved to the rear.
Coloration is strong marks of light and dark areas, streaks and spots. The caudal fin has a prominent dark tip.
Reproduction is presumed to be ovoviviparous.
