Dutchess Mall

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dutchess Mall was an indoor shopping center opened in 1974 in Fishkill, New York. With the emergence of other malls in the area, and tenants leaving to move onto other retail stores, it closed in the 1990s. The area in which Service Merchandise used to be was once occupied for many years by the Dutchess Flea Market, but it is currently searching for a new permanent location and has since moved out of the building.

The Dutchess Mall area has now been redeveloped, with the construction of a Home Depot being built where the central part of the Dutchess Mall used to be. The building where the fleamarket originally was, and the building where Jamesway used to be are still intact, but are being planned to be used or demolished. More big box stores are planned for future phases of redevelopment.
