Dustin Thomason

Dustin Thomason is a writer who studied anthropology and medicine at Harvard University. While there, he won a Hoopes Prize for an outstanding senior thesis. He co-wrote The Rule of Four with his childhood friend, Ian Caldwell after they had graduated in 1998.

The Rule of Four, reached the top of the New York Times Bestseller list, where it remained for more than six months. The book was a no. 1 national and international bestseller and has been translated into more than 25 languages. It has sold more than four million copies worldwide, and to date is the best selling debut novel of the decade. It is currently being developed by Warner Bros. as a feature film.

Thomason and Caldwell were members of the class of 1994 at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.

He also co-created and is executive producer on the 2006 ABC Drama "The Evidence."

Thomason received his MD and his MBA from Columbia University. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, although he is often accredited as a resident of New York. Working on his new series, he moved to Los Angeles because rain makes him sad.
