{{sm|}} or just {{sm}}, since no parameter defaults in a smile. Image:smile.png

To get a tongue smiley, for example, do {{sm|:P}} or {{sm|:p}}. Image:tongue.png Rest of examples can be found in code, but heck, I'll document it anyway.

colon/apostrophe/closeParen:'( - for a crying image. Image:cry.png
colon/capitalD:D - for an emoticon for a delighted emoticon. Image:teeth.png
