The DuQuesne-class superdreadnoughts are fictional warships in the Honor Harrington universe (the "Honorverse").
The primary superdreadnought in the service of the People's Republic of Haven, these ships formed the heart of the wall of battle of the Havenite Navy. The numerical advantage the People's Navy had over the Royal Manticoran Navy (over 400 superdreadnoughts to the RMN's 188) was compensated by the generally superior sensor, EW and weapons systems of the Manticorans. According to the "Nefarious List" (a fansite specialised in the ships of the Honorverse), the DuQuesne-class massed over 8 million tons and had a standard complement (crew and Marines) of 6,000.
The DuQuesne-class has suffered severe losses during Haven's war against the Manticoran Alliance. In one of the war's first engagements, the Third Battle of Yeltsin, eleven DuQuesne-class superdreadnoughts surrendered to the joint Manticoran-Grayson fleet commanded by Admiral Hamish Alexander. These ships were handed to the Grayson Space Navy, which refitted and commissioned them as the Manticore's Gift-class, Grayson's first ships of the wall.
